The How front   There is a large sitting room, comfortable to relax in after a good walk, or return to if the weather is poor. Adjoining the sitting room is a pleasant breakfast room with the window facing down the valley and giving a good view of Catbells, four miles away. Breakfast is a combination of cereals, fresh fruit and homemade yoghurt, followed by a hot course, usually bacon and eggs and some local or house speciality. This is accompanied by country bread, usually home made, and jams and marmalade that are always home made.
Guests sit around a communal table and make their own toast as required. there are other aspects that we hope provide a homely and comfortable atmosphere, including a good supply of reading matter, and facilities for making hot drinks in the small kitchen, whenever you want them. Car parking is 'off road' in front of the house, with ease of entrance and departure through two gates.
